Angel Reese was very impressive. Good thing we contained Marina Mabry. I do not understand why Coach Quinn won't play Nika Muhl. We all want to see her. I hope she gets some good run against Caitlin Clark and the Fever tomorrow.
It's not uncommon for coaches to shorten their rotations during close games. Or even in general. It's not very often you'll see teams play every single player on the roster during games unless it's a blowout. I was a little surprised we didn't see more playing time for Nika during the Washington game when Seattle was up 20+ in the 4th quarter. But for closer games, I'm not surprised the rookie isn't seeing much playing time yet. Coach Quinn will have to be comfortable with having her play in tighter games as many games this season will be competitive. If she's not, we may not see much of Mühl until that changes.
Ezi and Skylar were the most impressive with significant help from Jewell. This was Nneka's first game being off her game. Sami and Vivians also played significant roles in the critical win for the Storm. I'd really like to see more games like this from Ezi where she's just a beast on defense with rebounds, steals, and lots of blocked shots! 😃😀🤩
I'd give it some more time. It is pretty common for coach's to shorten their rotations during close games, especially when the pressure is on Quinn to win this season with the additions of Skylar Diggins-Smith and Nneka Ogwumike. They started off 1-3 and couldn't afford any more losses in the month of May.
We'll see if Nika Mühl gets more playing time as the season progresses.

Nika must’ve killed Noelle’s dog or something lmfao

I know, right? I just don't get why Noelle won't let Nika play! It has to be discouraging for Nika.
