Agree! Trading Jade was a mistake!

Tremendous performance last night! The Mystics are exactly the cure for what ails a team. They won't go 0-40, but at this point - even fully healthy - I'm not sure who they could beat. The Storm backcourt rotations continue to puzzle, and Jade's nice performance - as Jeff noted - only amplifies the bewilderment. It's early, but Ogwumike is playing at an all-star level. It will be interesting to see how the Storm's recent play translates in Chicago.

Also, it's nice to see Sami playing well again and Mercedes playing better, too, and the whole "Core 4" playing well in the same game. I'm still wondering when Nika Muhl is going to get a chance to play some decent minutes in a game - say 10-15 minutes at least. I think everyone or at least many fans want to see what she can do and 3 minutes just doesn't cut it.

The Storm played their first really great game this season. Even though the Mystics were missing 2 important players, it probably wouldn't have made that much difference if they were fully healthy. I also didn't understand trading a youngster like Jade Melbourne who obviously has so much potential. They could have kept her and Nika Muhl and let Kiana go. That would have been a much smarter move. And the trade itself was a terrible deal. They should have easily been able to get a 2nd rounder for her from a team desperate for more good guards, especially one who can run the point. The trade was a disaster - the Storm really got fleeced on it. They should have known that Jade was worth more than a future 3rd round draft choice. That really bothered me. We traded a valuable player for nothing in return. It's upsetting.
