My opinion…I think we could lose her to Chicago or LAS(Kobe influence.
Here’s the thing tho, I do feel like we have a solid young base. It will be interesting to see if she wants “her team” which we really are right now, or go to one of these markets and be part of a combo (if CHI can keep Copper). I think if Jewell does leave, we could (should?) eat Cedes’ contract and drop her for young hungry talent if she doesn’t regain some more of that 2021 glow.
- Do you think the Storm will land on a more consistent starting line up soon?
- How do you see Noelle balancing minutes for rookies like Jade who hasn’t seen much action lately and Dulcy who show glimpses of talent but hasn’t had many minutes to gain good league experience.
It was indicated in a comment in the Storm Crazies FB page that the Storm were completely caught off guard by Breanna’s departure to the liberty. That up until the announcement she had indicated that she would be returning. Is that true?
I feel like that is reflected in our FA picks. I think Kia & Sami were good pickups on decent contracts, but we missed out on some solid playmakers like Sykes and Issy Harrison to name 2.
Do you think the Storm's poor shooting, both in the paint/at the rim, and from the perimeter, will continue, stay the same, or improve based on historical performance of the players?
What is going on with Quins bizarre rotations this years? Why is Dulcy and Jade not playing when this is the season they should be gaining experience on the court. Doesn't it seem that the starters are gassed by the 3rd quarter from playing so many minutes and at least somewhat why they struggled coming out of the half?
What are your thoughts regarding the large differential between the Storm and their opponents for points in the paint? The Storm have a 6'6" center in Russell as well as a leading blocker in Magbegor. Yet they surrender one close range basket after another. Nevermind, both of these two should seemingly be able to impose their will with the ball down low as well. Do you see Holmes's increased playing time having an impact on that?
Ezi seems to be more effective as help side defender, rather than someone who can defend physical post players in the paint. Russell just seems soft in every way: a soft defender, and offensively, she's never strong with the ball. Holmes is a little undersized, but she's really the only one on the team who'll put a body on someone.
I don't know. I seem to remember more than once watching Magbegor holding her own against Cambage. That's just about as physical as it's going to get. As for Russell, I've always wondered why she isn't more aggressive in the post or grabbing rebounds. She has the size advantage on just about everyone she faces outside of Griner. I do really like her mid range jumpers though. As for Holmes, she's only an inch shorter than Magbegor and certainly stronger.
The oddly timed release of Arella Guirantes sparked two questions: (1) How much input does Quinn have in the construction of the roster? (2) If she had complete control and an empty roster, what kind of team would she construct (i.e, its identity)?
What do you think the most likely scenario is regarding Jewel Loyd and the Storm after this year?

Will Coach Quinn continue as the Storm's coach?
With our 6 (yes I’m still counting Gabby as a Storm player) foreign players, how do you think the Olympics will impact roster next year?
Please can you clear up what is happening with Gabby?
Love this idea! My questions are:

What does the 2024 draft class look like? Where do you see the storm picking? I see them somewhere between 2 and 5.

Often, yes; but in this last case against the Lynx the Storm played very poorly the 1st Quarter.
Dojkic is having a pretty good breakout season--do you see her sticking with the Storm long-term? What does this mean for Jade Melbourne's prospects?
Is Coach Quinn in the hot seat (or at least a warm seat)?

A) Can we core Jewell again?
If so, we 💯 should for at least trade value, if she is done with Sea.
B) What 2024 FAs are you looking at as potential Storm players? Me: I’m 👀 Natasha Cloud.

This is an excellent question! 👩🍳
If the season were to end today what pick would Seattle have in the WNBA draft?
If I ever spelled her first name right on the first try, I would die happy.
