I'm wondering if Jordan should be a starter and Tori a bencher.
As for Jewell, she sure missed a lot of shots this game. Really off. I haven't given up on her as a premium shooter but she really needs to figure out what's wrong with the way she's playing.
I know I've spoken with Coach Quinn before about why she's bringing Jordan Horston off the bench. Some of the reasons she's listed in the past include allowing Jordan to watch the early parts of the game and study the game from the bench. Also, Jordan can bring a larger boost off the bench and potentially get more scoring opportunities with the second unit where she may be the first or second option versus being the 5th scoring option with Jewell, Skylar, Nneka, and Ezi.
Before training camp started this season, I had Horston penciled in as the team's starting Small Forward because she's the most talented player at that position on the roster. But I do understand Coach Quinn's thought process to bring her off the bench for the reasons above. Also, we've seen plenty of times where Jordy gets more playing time than Vivians despite Tori being the one that starts. I think it would be more concerning if Horston was only playing 8-10 mins a game on average. But she's currently averaging 21 MPG and sometimes, like in today's game, gets 30 MPG.
