I really enjoyed your article, Jeff. I especially liked your roster projection. I agree that Joyner Holmes probably guaranteed herself one of those last 2 spots and Nika Muhl should have a spot, too, since the Storm really need a true PG to back up Sky. And Jade really isn't a true PG, despite the Storm's efforts to make her one. And Nika is a better passer and a much better defender than 'Jado'. Anyone else who wants a spot among the top 11 better step up big time on Tuesday. The main thing that I wanted to see was the Storm keeping all 3 of their PG's.
Yup! Can’t envision a scenario different from this roster projection. Another case for keeping Melbourne along with Mühl is that it might be impossible to get either (especially Mühl) back if cut now. They’d be able to pick up one of the bigs, if necessary
I think this is likely the final roster as well. Joyner has a leg up on the vets as she played well for us last season and she already knows the system. A) Nika Mühl seems to be fairing pretty well in practices. B) As you’ve mentioned, They don’t really have a true PG behind Sky. C) Big defensive chops, (think NYL being painfully outplayed at perimeter by LVA) D) has a fan following which could help attendance. And on a side note, if she’s not on the roster, it’s the first time in just how long there’s not been a UCONN alum on the Storm??
I forgot that Kia Nurse was a UCONN alumnus and didn't realize that Gabby was, too. I don't think that we need to worry about Nika Muhl not making the final roster. We need her defensive capabilities as well as her passing and leadership skills.
Kia Nurse

I forget who their UCONN alum was last year. I think that I should know this.
And come to think of it, Gabby Williams as well
