A potential trade of Gabby for Nyara Sabally? Very intriguing idea. Nobody *wants* to get rid of Gabby, but to get a high upside player with 3+ years of contractual control, like Sabally? Sign. Me. Up. Now. To not make that deal, if offered, would be front office malpractice.

Like the quotes from Noey and the players. I sure see the fight, every game. Also that that is the sign of a good coach. Thanks again for posting early in the day. Are you traveling to some away games these days?

Sadly, my budget doesn't allow me to travel to any road games. I nearly went to Las Vegas for the WNBA semi-finals but ultimately opted not do for $$ reasons. I do think that if the Storm had forced a Game 5 and Sue Bird's last game was potentially going to be that Game 5 in Las Vegas I would have gone.

I didn't hear anything about a last-second trade today (actually yesterday now since it's past midnight) involving Gabby so I assume it didn't happen. I understand the debate. She is a wonderful player that you'd love to keep long-term but it won't happen because it can't happen. This is the only season that we'll get to watch the wonderful Gabrielle Williams which makes this season very special. I hope people appreciate that and turn out to watch her. 💝😊🥰

An absolutely amazing last-second shot by Ms. Sami Whitcomb! I believe it's the greatest shot I've ever seen in the W and I've watched over 20 years of WNBA games. That shot belongs in the Hall of Fame! I hope that it gets all the recognition that it deserves!! Way to go Sami!!! 😉🤑😊💘😍

I'm tired of you suggesting that we would find Gabby expendable!

That's OK. It's a sports business. Teams often have to look at not just the here and now but what their future outlook is. The league has a trade deadline in a couple of days. It's absolutely worth discussing and writing about it. Would you prefer no one writes or talks about it even being a possibility? Then what if it happens? Will people get upset and feel blind sighted?

If you asked me to put money on what I think is going to happen. I don't believe Gabby Williams will be traded. But I wouldn't completely rule it out and therefore it's worth writing about. I don't expect everyone to agree with 100% of the things I write about but it doesn't mean I shouldn't cover multiple angles.

Throughout all sports, teams make trades. Sometimes those trades involve fan favorites and it's upsetting for the fans to see. But usually those trades are made with the organization's best interests beyond the immediate here and now. It's OK to get upset seeing your favorite team trade away one of your favorite players.

It’s not that at all. It’s that we only have her until the end of this season. There is a very good chance that she doesn’t even play in the W season much less for us due to the CBA and her play overseas. Knowing this and the fact we really don’t have a chance for the title, why not use her to get a piece for the future? The negatives: we lose watching her in a Storm jersey for another month+, we also lose her impact on the rookies. The positives: we can start developing the future of the team. Our staff can move pieces to better see what our future will look like which will only help our rookies’ growth.

I’m sure (and would hope) they’d love to sign her for longer, but my guess based off of her own comments is that she would choose euro over the W and with the current CBA she is forced to choose..
